INOFEM to help with infertility
Hormone balance
INOFEM is a dietary supplement to help support female hormone balance that comes in a pleasant lemon flavoured soluble powder.
INOFEM contains Myo-Inositol and Folic Acid, a naturally occurring substance produced in the human body that belongs to the Vitamin B Complex group.
Myo-Inositol is an important component of cell membranes and is integral to properly function insulin-receptors. In addition, studies carried out over the last two decades have demonstrated the significant role Myo-Inositol plays in oocyte or egg quality.
INOFEM and Infertility
Folic Acid also is known as Folate, is well recognized for its value in the prevention of certain birth defects. It has multiple health benefits and influences numerous metabolic functions in the body. Folic Acid helps the body break down and use new proteins as well as form new blood cells and create new DNA. Without Folic Acid, homocysteine levels can cause blood to clot more easily than normal and cause cardiovascular disease and heart attacks. Studies have shown Folic Acid may lower homocysteine levels. It also participates in cellular division (including oocyte division) and supports formation and development of blood cells.
Hundreds of women participating in Clinical studies have shown that products containing Myo-Inositol and Folic Acid had a favourable effect on fat and sugar metabolism as well as being a simple and safe treatment for its ability to support a normal menstrual cycle and ovulation. Clinical research has also demonstrated an important role of Myo-Inositol in supporting ovarian function.
Myo-Inositol has a favourable influence on the skin and reduces acne, improves hair condition and reduces hair loss. In addition, clinical studies carried out over the last twenty years have demonstrated the significant role played by Myo-Inositol in ovulation. It has recently become known for its benefits for women suffering from PCOS.
Polycystic Ovary Syndrome is one of the most common causes of menstrual disorders in women of childbearing age and affects everyone differently. Some PCOS patients suffer from insulin resistance. Hyper-insulinemia resulting from insulin resistance stimulates the ovarian production of androgens. On the one hand, increased ovarian androgen production leads to the development of signs and symptoms of hyperandrogenism (hirsutism, dermal changes with seborrhea, acne or alopecia), and on the other hand it leads to premature degeneration of ovarian follicles which then do not ovulate during the menstrual cycle resulting in anovulation and reduced production of the sex hormone binding globulin (SHBG)
Hyperandrogenism
Myo-Inositol has been the subject of fertility studies and has shown to be helpful in improving hormone balance, ovarian function and egg quality. The female reproductive cycle involves a complex interaction of many different hormones. Myo-Inositol is an insulin sensitizer thereby lowering circulating insulin levels and helping to restore overall hormone balance.
